My name is Greg, I'm only 17 and am still in education. Another thing to note is that Steve is my cousin.
The reason I am here is because I'm interested in what Gibe does, meaning I like programming and web design. I asked Steve if I could come and get some experience in the work I'm interested in. Since I'm writing this, that means that the answer was "yes" (just in case you didn't guess that already). So after the week that I have been here, I have learnt a lot.
Beforehand, I was unable to create much in HTML, nothing in CSS and, again, nothing in JavaScript. Now, on the other hand, I can understand at least the basics of all three, something I would not have been able to do in such a small time by myself. Whilst there are many more complicated parts to each of them that I don't understand (especially JavaScript), under the teaching of Karl and Steve I feel that I have learnt a lot of useful code that will hopefully give me an edge in my up coming collage course and, more than likely, afterwards as well.
The experience itself has been good fun, as everyone that works at Gibe is very friendly and has a great personality. I felt very welcome from the moment I came in and I was even invited to go bowling with everyone. To conclude I learned a lot and had a great time doing it.
Thanks guys!
