As we have the option to work remotely at Gibe, our team is spread out. Many of our team members are based in or around Cardiff and Bristol. So, when the opportunity arose for a team social in Cardiff, it was the perfect chance to catch up, bond, and enjoy some well-deserved downtime together.

With some of us working remotely and others based in Cardiff or Bristol, the social offered a chance to reconnect with colleagues we don’t always get to see in person. 

We all made our way into Cardiff centre, whether it was by bus, train, car or for some of us stuck in traffic. 

We all made our way to the Christmas markets in Cardiff, instantly transporting the team into a festive mood. Vibrant decorations and the soft glow of fairy lights set the stage for a truly enchanting experience.

Most of our time was spent having festive drinks, chatting away and catching up on things that we can only really share in person and not just over Slack! 

After spending some time wandering around Cardiff, the team headed to one of the city’s beloved eateries: Pizza Pilgrim. Located in the heart of Cardiff, this laid-back yet vibrant pizzeria was the perfect spot for a meal that everyone could enjoy.

The menu at Pizza Pilgrim is packed with mouth-watering options, and it didn’t take long for the team to dig into some of the best pizza we’ve had in a while. From the classic Margherita with its perfectly crispy base to the indulgent truffle and mushroom options, everyone found something that hit the spot. 

With some of the team, just trying one pizza wasn’t enough. There was a lot of slice swapping happening on the table! 

After Pizza Pilgrims we all went our separate ways again and everyone left feeling full, happy.
