Quba & Co. and Gibe Digital shortlisted for another award...
Quba & Co. and Gibe Digital are pleased to announce that they have been shortlisted for the BT Retail Week Technology Award 2013.
The nomination is within the "Ecommerce Innovation of the Year" category for the "Create Your Own" (CYO) jacket and bag tool on Quba & Co.'s website.
The new CYO functionality is one of the website's greatest successes with jacket revenue increasing 120% from two months post-launch to the end of December 2012. On top of this, there was a 106% increase in units sold for the same period.
The tools themselves are built using HTML5 Canvas API technology and JavaScript, so that they run nicely on web, tablet and mobile devices without the need for Flash. The tools are built in a scalable way so that new products and their various customisation options can be added quickly and cost effectively.
The BT Retail Week Technology Awards are now in their 4th year and have developed a great reputation for highlighting leading retailers who are implement exciting new technologies to enhance their customers' experiences. Backed by the leading trade magazine Retail Week, published by Emap the awards reflect the changing face of retail and it’s affirmation that technology plays a critical role in modernising the industry.
