Gibe Plays its Cards Right With New Whistlefish Site

Back in October 2013, we launched a fully responsive ecommerce site for Whistlefish Galleries. The site was designed to offer customers an immersive and engaging experience, which would reflect Whistlefish Galleries’ proposition of offering affordable art and would also support national expansion of the business.

The site was built on GibeCommerce, creating a robust and strong digital platform to support rapid multichannel sales growth and allow Whistlefish to update and manage all site content to meet their specific needs.

Since then, Whistlefish has experienced unprecedented sales growth. Online revenue increased by 645% against the previous year, selling 687% more units than the old website. The new responsive site boasts an impressive conversion rate of over 6%, an increase from the previous 2%. Whistlefish has seen amazing mobile sales growth from the new site; sales on tablet and mobile devices have increased by 1000%!

What’s Next?

Gibe has been working with Whistlefish to create a digital marketing strategy and detailed communication plan for 2015, which will provide a sound basis for continued growth, both online and in galleries, throughout the year. This activity will also be supported by further enhancements to the Whistlefish website during the next 12 months.
